If you submit part 2, does check mark immediately appear next to nich, essay and activities in "check your application status" page? If not, how long does it take?

The application status page show: We are unable to offer you a decision on your application at this time. You will be contacted as soon as the decision process is complete.

Thank you for your interest in the University of Maryland.

Anyone else getting that?

yeah. i did. they give out decisions in mid-feb. so, check back in mid-feb.

Trust me this thread will light up on the day the status page changes. I remember it changed early @ 10 am, and it was a few days before they said it would be released

cannot wait

if you havent paid the app fee will they withold your admissions decision until you do?

Your application won't be processed until you pay.

uh oh...i dont even know if we payed or not because I didn't at the time that I applied cause i didn't have a credit card on hand, and my dad isn't sure if he sent the check. Called the office of admissions three times today and was told that the system was receiving too many calls and to try again later.

ok my dad mailed out the payment today. =]

not that i advocate not paying, but i didn't pay my app fee until after i decided to enroll at the university. the only thing that happened was that i got a lot of letters from the bursar's office saying that i needed to pay. so don't worry too much, unless the policy has changed, if your payment is a little late, everything will probably be processed fine.

our junior year final project in english was to make a podcast on the school of our choice, and i made my on umdcp. I`m thinking about sending it to them as an addition to my file. Any thoughts on whether this is a good idea?

If I still get the checklist when I log on to see my application's status, does that mean I didn't make priority app?
(I mailed my test scores like a week late, but they still ended up there before my rec letter, which was mailed on time. I was hoping they would just take it, but perhaps not)

Last year, there was a child that did not get the paperwork in on time for the cut off and they did not get an answer for ED, theirs was RD. Call admissions and ask which group you are in

I had everything in on time, and the only thing checked off late (beginning of Jan I believe) was the teacher rec. but it was postmarked before the deadline. It still shows the completed checklist when I check, I hope that's what is supposed to be happening at this time?

there are two different check-websites....one is your status (checklist)

and the other has just your application decision
https://was-4.umd.edu/lm/secure/adm_login.asp?forward=https://www.sis.umd.edu/servlets/AdmitDec

The guidance recommendation/transcript and teacher recommendation were sent off week before the deadline. I still don't see a check mark next to them.

Is this delay normal? Anyone else in the same situation.

to be honest, if you applied by 12/1 i would be worried since decisions come out in the coming weeks. It would be best to call

I'm with DiN. You should be worried. All EA materials should've been processed by a week or two ago. I called at least 4 times to pester them; you need to get on their case.

i had the same problem - my teacher rec wasn't checked off so I was worried about whether or not they have received it since I applied 12/1. I emailed admissions a while ago and asked if they got everything, they emailed me back a few days ago saying they have everything including my recommendations. It may be just a glitch or just doesn't get updated. You should def call if you applied before 12/1, the decision comes out soon.

Has anyone heard anything from Maryland yet?
