Applications and Stress...

My application process was very relaxing until October 4. I filled out my common application, wrote my essays, set up my teacher recs and got ready to send. On October 4, I finally applied ED to Colgate. But now that the application is no longer in my hands, I'm really stressed out! I feel like there is no longer anything I can do to change my chance of admission (which there isn't) and that is literally keeping me up at night. The wait until December 15 will be the longest ever...

is anyone else having a similar experience, and if so, how are you dealing with it?

Just find something to keep your mind off it.

I'm more stressed about getting them in..

Sigh, whatever happened to the plan of doing essays over the summer

My stress is similar. I've so far sent in my apps to my two safeties and now I'm freaking out that I won't even get into them. I feel like the fact that I can't change what I submit means that I'm automatically going to fail.

That said, I've been pretty successful and finding other things to take my mind off of things. Read: 7 other applications, tons of schoolwork, and SAT IIs.

Same! I have a bunch of other applications to keep it off my mind, but it's still driving me crazy.

i've been stressing out where I want to go...not even the essays...or getting in.

I like all my schools!

what did you write your colgate essay about?
