Applied ED and consumed by the waiting game?

haha langley dominates this board i like it...i heard there's less this year than lsat year applying early to uva...last year it was about 25ish..last year 10 people got in (5 girls 5 guys...1 asian guy 4 white guys....2 asian girls and 3 white girls)...this year it seems like there are about 20 people...hopefullythe same number get in at least

how do you know there are about 20? You asked your GC?

crazycool can you not say my name in public? -,-

thehighway did you take AP Calc BC in freshman year? hahhahhaaaa

at my school there's like 50-60+ applicants for UVA ED and like almost all are IB diploma candidates. Yikes...

We post decisions at the end of the day so you can be at home and have time to "process" the decision. We know the phones will be rining off the hook on Monday morning with irate parents asking us why we made the decisions we did. If we posted on Friday morning, I imagine the calls would be less than civil, with people just grabbing the phone and dialing.

nah just by word of mouth im estimating

masticore99 what school do you go to? northern va?

would it be possible to ask the admissions office to get an idea of wat aspects of the app was "lacking" if i got rejected so i can do better on my other college applications?

im from robinson btw

Dean J.

Are you still at the admissions office working on last minute decisions or have you all decided to call it a night? haha

I'm working on a blog post about calling our office. We take these sorts of calls, but I'd say the best way to go about doing it is to call yourself (don't have mom or dad do it) and write down some notes beforehand so you have some questions.

I think the majority of calls we get are from people will wonderful grades, but less than stellar programs, so be prepared to hear something along those lines.

Nope, not at the office. Just catching up on the blog. :)

anybody else (most likely other virginians) frustrated that WM decisions came today?! it wasn't frustrating i guess, but just made me more nervous/anxious.

haha. i'm glad to see there aren't overwhelming amounts of tj-ers here!

good luck everyone, two more days to make it through then we can breathe!

im sure they get fewer applicants so it takes less tiem to read

jeez glad im not in nova...

my school has three ED applicants i think.

What makes you think their admissions office is as large as UVA's?

jeez glad im not in nova...

Why? It's only slightly more competitive than the rest of the state, if at all.

theres way more qualified applicants and the number that apply are way more than other parts of virginia

Oh, really? Perhaps that's why there are way more NoVa kids at UVA than people from any other region. Hmm...

gosh i'm so consumed with these next two days that i've basically spent the past week on this forum...talkin and waiting and hoping
here's to seeing you all next fall!

all i meant about wm is that it just makes me more anxious that people are hearing back...not to say why they heard back earlier, i mean that's kind of a given.

im gonna be so jealous on friday, i have to wait for snail mail
