Applied Rollins was it a mistake

I was told to apply rolling by my college counselor but when I called admissions yesterday, and they said that EA applicants get priority and that you may or may not get an answer back before the end of December. I sent my app in 3 weeks ago

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

*should say rolling up top :)

I wouldn’t say it was a mistake unless you’re on the margins of admissibility.

If you’re a strong candidate for admission, it’s not a big disadvantage. You just may not have a decision before Christmas.

is there any reason the OP’s app won’t get downloaded with the other EA’ers? It seems like they would download them as they come in, not what box they checked, but idk.

If you are on the margins of admit or deny, you could probably call and get your app changed to EA.

It’ll be downloaded and put in the system, yes… but there’s no guarantee it’ll be reviewed.

UMich has committed to reviewing EA applicants and issuing decisions by Dec 23, and on average about 12,000-13,000 applications come EA. More often than not, they don’t meet that deadline, so, there may not be a high priority on reviewing RD apps.

But yeah, a phone call would get it switched probably.

ahh I see. Don’t be afraid to give them a call. If anything it could show that you are serious.
