Applied to Cornell, majoring in Communication

I applied to Cornell as a transfer student for fall 2012.
Last week I submitted my mid-term report. And just now I was surfing the net, and found that for students who would like to major in Communication (including myself), there are a number of required courses that we have to complete prior to transfer. I realized I can't complete "One full academic year of Introductory Biology (labs not required)." I am taking Physical Anthropology now, but it's just one-semester-course. Will it affect my application much?

Thanks so much!!

If it’s required for transfer students to be admitted, yes, it will affect your application in a very negative way. Anthropology will not count was intro biology.

(On the website)
Required:
One full academic year of Introductory Biology (labs not required)
Two College Writing/English Composition courses or one writing/composition and Public Speaking
Statistics
Psychology or Sociology

yeah it’s doubtful you’ll get in because you don’t have those required courses. Contact Cornell and ask them for further advice. Sorry :(
