Im having trouble deciding whether to go to Stern and get an undergraduate business degree or going to NYU and then going for an MBA afterwards. Are these grades good enough for Stern?

assuming essay is fairly good, should i apply directly to stern or just to NYU?

edit: I also have 400+ hours of community service, good extracurriculars. Any help?

Apply to Stern(very reach with those stats), but I think there is a box or something on their app or app supplement(i swear I have seen it before, but make sure yourself), that allows them to place you into a different school that you qualify for if you don’t get into the one you want, like Stern.

I have never heard of NYU considering students for other schools besides LSP. If you apply to Stern and are rejected, I believe that’s the end of your application to NYU.

NYU2013, in section 4 of the NYU supplement (School, College, or Program of Interest), applicants have the option of saying yes or no to the following:

“If, after reviewing your application, we are unable to offer you admission to the school, college, or program you have selected and we believe another school, college, or program at NYU may be a better fit based on your qualifications, would you like to be considered for admission to another school, college, or program?”

It does not give you the option to name the school or college in question, but for applicants to Stern, I would assume the alternate would be the CAS.

Yeah, and that is a good idea considering CAS is the easier one to get into and Stern and Tisch are near ivy in terms of acceptance rates. If you can’t make it to Stern, good chance they will find a spot for you in CAS.
