Applying as a Transfer: What do you think?

<p>So here's my situation. I am currently on the BlinnTEAM program, but I absolutely abhor going to two schools. I don't know, it can be a pain sometimes. The cheaper tuition at Blinn is nice though. Anywho, I applied as a transfer to A&M early instead of doing the whole 2 years of BlinnTEAM. I have been on Step 2 for a little over a week. I'm a pretty impatient person when it comes to academic-related situations (for example, receiving test scores or in this case, admissions decisions), so I'm just going to get opinions from utter strangers on whether or not my stats are good enough to transfer now :D Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>Major: Psychology B.S.; General Studies for second choice.
A&M GPA: 4.0
Blinn GPA: 3.66 (I got one 89 :/ )
Fall 2010 Courses:
Govt 2306/Pols 107 = B
Geog 202 = A
Arts 1303/Arts 149 = A
Spch 1315/COMM 203 = A
KINE 198 = A</p>

<p>Spring 2011 Courses (In Progress):
Math 131 (Calculus)
Biology 1406/Bio 111
History 1302/History 107
English 1301/English 104
(I expect to get a 4.0 this semester, assuming things continue to go the way they've been going)
Total hours: 26 (I know it's low, but it's best not to go over just in case I'm not sure of my major).</p>

<p>I'm also self-studying to test out of Chem 101/111 and Chem 102/112 by departmental examination, which would be 8 hours. Hopefully by April.</p>

<p>I don't know if SAT/ACT scores matter since I'm not in high school anymore, but I got a cumulative score of 28 on the ACT (my SAT was pretty bad, so I'm not going to post that).</p>

<p>There's definitely extracurricular aspects of my application, but I guess I'm just worried about the academic portion of my application. Also, does anyone who's a former transfer student know how much scholarship money a transfer may receive with stats similar to mine?</p>

<p>Just kidding, I’m on Step 3 now. Any clue how long it takes for them to reach a decision for transfers? I remember I applied in October and did not hear a response until May for BlinnTEAM when I applied as a Senior in high school. Hopefully it’s not too long of a wait this time around? :/</p>

<p>Unless you have 24 credit hours NOW, not in progress, you will get an immediate reject with a note to submit your spring '11 transcript for reconsideration. So you will not find out until June.
And SAT scores no longer matter only gpa.

<p>shouldn’t be as much of an issue with you sandrabui since you are already set up there in CStat. I know a kid who found out in mid july he was accepted for transfer and then had to scramble for roommates and a place to live!</p>
