^OMG ahhh!!

How can you be absolutely certain they will start looking at our applications this week?

Insider information.

Still no AppID :-(.

is anyone else’s financial aid to-do list still full?

edit: hurr durr, just read the above replies and saw they’re processing our things now. NEVERMIND. :D

^no they have 0 materials received other than my CSS profile. I declare a blood feud. jk. But they dont even have my fafsa yet and i sent that like a month ago. I really need aid too lol or im screwed.

I have the same problem Castiel, nothing on the FA site is listed as received.

Hey guys, do you know if transfer students will be on the same standing with freshers regarding to financial aid?

yeah hopefully cornell updates it, I emailed the FA office and they said that all they have is the CSS and to give it time for them to update it. but its been a while and I am starting to get worried.

:'(

when did you guy send your financial aid documents?

@Castiel: why didnt u ask them if it was okay to fax them your documents. i asked them and they allowed me to do so (after the deadline too). Now my list is complete

Anyone else still not have their AppID to log in with?

I sent in the finaid documents 1-2weeks before the deadline (FAFSA day before). I had FAFSA as “missing” so I emailed them about; they have since changed the status to received.

i forgot when i send my financial aid documents. however they process my documents. they ask me for an independant verification form. i know cornell is need blind. it means the adcom doesnt know about our financial aid. however i dont think it means financial aid offices have to process all the applicans(it’s 3000 applicants every year) if it’s not this early i’ll think i get accepted.

@mikey: well I don’t think there are any faxes available for student use at my school so that won’t be an option. Plus I think that there is just a delay in updating it (I am hoping for this so I don’t want to bug them when they have so many documents).

did you guys send the application and the financial aid application separately? I sent them in a same folder :(( (how stupid)

@duynguyen: omg u need to email the financial office right now to ask them if you can submit ur fin aid app again, coz there are 2 different addresses. one for transfer admission (which is a P.O. box) and the other for financial aid (which is a building)

@castiel: u can find a fax machine at a post office. telling you how convenient faxing is: they got my documents and updated my finaid status right away (30 mn after i faxed)

^hmm thanks, ok I might try it!

Yep, still nothing here.

@ ntmikey: darn it I’ll call them tomorrow morning >.<
