<p>boysdontcry - it’s both by major and college, if that makes sense. there are a certain number of spots available in the college as a whole, so then they’ll break it down by major. pretend there’s 100 spots. they won’t fill all of them with bio majors. also you have to remember how big departments are and which majors are most popular. so for you, it actually helps that you’re looking at comm because bio/biological sciences is a biggie (haha sorry bio people), as is AEM (sorry again haha) </p>

<p>whats wrong with applying to CAS? I’m most likly not going to further my studies with biochemistry and change majors to chemistry. Thats why i went with CAS. Also i’m interested in studying other courses they offer at CAS, especially some of their arts courses.</p>

<p>Mine still says “Thank you for using our online self-service application status system. The checklist below indicates materials received by the Undergraduate Admissions Office and does not include materials sent to the college admissions offices or to the financial aid office.”</p>

<p>The checklist is there with everything marked off. So, they’re not missing anything. I wish they’d send it for review already! I’m panicking a bit. :(</p>

<p>tayio - CAS is just super hard to get into, so i wouldve applied to bio and society in either humec or CALS, or bio in CALS. but if you’re thinking of switching to chem anyway, then maybe that was the right choice for you </p>

<p>hyper - CHE is about 1250 students total. i have no idea about how big PAM is, but i’d say the big majors are HD, HBHS/Bio and Society. PAM would come after those 3, i’d think. the first 3 are filled with pre-meds, that’s why lol </p>

<p>dreamingbig - i know for freshman admissions you’re applying to the college, but for transfers it may be different because they need to verify with each department for junior transfers. not too sure on that one, sorry.</p>
