Ohmigod, ntmikey. I would have cried just because that would be the only reaction I would be able to garner if I saw someone get an acceptance. Not necessarily bad crying, or good crying, just general emotional crying. All over.

By the way, does anyone else here feel as though the only time you have to sleep is during the day in the library while studying? I feel like I have narcolepsy.

cynthia: bio in CAS and biological sciences in CALS are almost the same. The only thing that differs is the school and its respective requirements. The CAS and CALS requirements are like 90% the same, so most people apply to CALS biological sciences because of its higher acceptance rate.

CAS has a language requirement also, and I believe CALS has a speaking requirement that CAS does not.

but in a nutshell, they are pretty much the same thing.

Well, I guess its time I added my name to this list. CAS applicant; Sociology major (thank goodness not Econ!). And I’m applying for a jr. spot.

If im missing the bio requirements but got a 5 on AP biology does that count? i wasnt allowed to take an introductory science course bc of that 5. but i didnt send my ap scores to cornell…

housing isn’t done by college or major. upperlevel housing does include west, which is really nice (and where i am and will be next year )

poleandreel - i would really call ASAP and ask about that, because depending on your major, you won’t be able to place out. actually, i’m fairly certain that the new bio policy (school-wide) doesn’t allow for AP bio to place you out ever.

Hi everyone! How is everyone doing?! I’m getting really nervous. I checked my application status and for some reason they had not gotten my college transcript yet, so I had to resend it today. I have a question, does anyone know if Cornell would take a recommendation that is neither from a professor nor an employer? I sent the required recommendations but there was an extra “character recommendation” if you will. I had a total of 3 recommendations including the character recommendation. I was wondering if you guys think they’ll even bother reading it?

PS I am the 4th Human Ecology applicant, 4 of us isn’t bad at all, so good luck :)
