Applying for loans for spring; HOW if in Miami...

How do i get a loan if i cant speak to financial services over at UF? I was told that i would get some sort of financial aid package sent to my home, but the question is when?

Thanks too any inputs as always,
Laz,

Helpppppppppp :'(

Nevermind , I misread your question .

did you fill out of the fafsa?

Yes HSB1104 please continue i’m eligible for student loans and full pell-grant.

Thanks

I don’t think I ever got an actual package in the mail but I could be remembering wrong… I got an e-mail that it had posted to my ISIS. I don’t know if you set up your gatorlink e-mail yet but I got it there, I just checked and I got it about a month after I was accepted. Even if you don’t have an email you can always log into your ISIS and check under financial aid where it says awards and disbursements, that’s where it’ll post what you were rewarded

Yes i have an UF email adress and i have access to my Isis. My question is HOW could i apply for the loan? I see where UF has recieved my Fafsa application and my eligibilites but how do i apply for a loan for spring 2012 sense I’m a transfer student from Miami, Fl.

Thanks again HS

If anyone could help please do.

Ok, your Fafsa IS your application for FEDERAL loans. These forms are processed through the school. Once UF processes your fafsa they are going to send you an email that your rewards are posted to ISIS. That is where you are going to see what and how much of each type of loan and grant you were rewarded. In other words, you have done ALL you need to do to apply for federal loans by filling out your fafsa. Now you just need to wait until UF processes it.

I do understand that Fafsa is my application for grants and loans, but i need a loan PRIOR to entering UF for spring term 2012.

I’ve already gotten a 900 loan from my CC but i went through a process through fafsa office at my CC.

My Fafsa application has been processed by UF and i’m eligible for $2,775 for spring BUT i need a loan to cover for my dorm because its not going to be enough after my classes have been covered.

So my question is HOW could i ask for a loan without going to UF’s financial aid office? Or do i simply just have to wait until i’m actually in UF to request a loan?

Maybe i have to wait for my orientation date and ask the question there? I hope I’m not to much of a pain in the rear lol.

Thank you
Laz,

Ohh, I see what you’re saying. I’m fairly certain you’re not going to be able to get anymore money out of UF… you might have to go through a private bank if you’re going to need more loan money. That’s something you’d need to call the financial aid office and ask if they can give you more information on how to go about doing that
