^^this guy is going to columbia YAY!

@BHhazy I hope so. But lets not get carried away. They do have a crazy low acceptance rate.

Also, where is everyone? Is this year’s thread gonna be a flop?! Have you seen last year’s thread?!

@pkteen what are your test scores and grades?

Maybe we are on a wrong thread -_-

@hassan100 ACT scores aren’t in yet. Throughout 9th-12th grade, I had two B’s overall. Other than that, it’s all A’s and A+'s

ACT is too time consuming… It’s english section is a killer in terms of time constraints though passages are easier in comparison to SAT CR.

Did you give the SAT?
WHich school are you from?

@hassan100 I edit and write as my job so it was very natural for me. Probable 35-36 in reading but I completely destroyed the science section due to time constraints.

@Gave the SAT in 2011. Scores expired.

Oh that’s good to know that you write This is an odd that might go in your favour… Science section is pretty confusing too… I hope you get 33+ composite :)

@hassan100 that would be a dream come true but I can’t imagine myself getting above a 31. Let’s hope I’m wrong…

@hassan100 where are you applying?

I was applying to Yale early but couldn’t get my expected scores in the SAT… So i will give ACT a shot and apply in regular maybe… My dream colleges are Ivies, so i am going to try my best ti get into any one of them… if i don’t, i will have to stay in Pakistan… NUST and LUMS :)

I am just going to jump into this conversation. I am an A2 student from Lahore. Application season is upon us and I am feeling the heat. I am completely unsure as to what career path I am going to take so I am basically applying for everything. Good move or bad? Already applied to Purdue, shall apply to Penn by tomorrow and WUSTL anon. Then I am thinking of applying to Brown and a few liberal arts. Probably applying to Canada too and definitely LUMS. Am I making the right choice, being one without any clear chosen path? Help.

^ You should keep your options in US more open… Don’t juts apply to Ivies… Apply to some low rank Universities too like WPI and Drexel… They do not have high SAT requirements and give financial aid too :)

@hassan I thoroughly agree with you, sir. I am applying to Richmond and Macalester soon. As mentioned before, already applied to Purdue. Might apply to Drexel but have no idea what WPI is. SAT score and grades aren’t issues for me but my extracurriculars are dwarfed by those of many others. Essays are fine I believe but I still do not think that they match up to those which Ivy leaguers produce. I am applying for an accounting major in most places. Is this a good move?

Your major choice doesn’t matter too much yet. You just need to choose the right department/school as in i chose biology at a lot of places but I might shift to microbio or neuro when I go to college. Good luck! I also applied to drexel and WUSTL.

I urge everyone of you to apply to WUSTL. It is an amazing place and I absolutely love it here. The school does not even require a separate essay. The food is amazing, the people are very friendly and the transition is very smooth. If you have any questions, inbox me!

@Maaz I’ve applied…
