When applying to Northwestern, do you have to apply to specific departments, like the Theater or Journalism school? Or do I just simply indicate an intended major?

Thank you. I am very confused.

you have to reply to a specific school within the university.
the most competitive school for admission is the medill school of journalism.. it admits about 10% of applicants.
Engineering is second-most-competitive.

it is not that dificult to transfer between schools once you are here, except for trying to transfer into Medill, which is very very dificult.

Theater is another selective program. To get admitted, you have to apply to the School of Communication specifically as a theater major. Because of the ongoing nature of the program, it's very difficult to transfer into it later.

hey TheCity, do you know what percentage of applicants get into the rtvf program?
