Carpediembella: ummm...30 hours a week, plus school all day....that sounds a bit high....thats either 6 hours each weekday, or something like that....if that is not an exaggeration, good, if it is, then I wonder about the rest....

Thanks; I usually have to do approx. 8 hrs theatre each day on the weekends, so that brings the total up pretty quickly. Plus, I've got about 3hrs theatre each day after school, so that brings the total up to around 30 hrs a week. Pretty harsh, but you get used to the reduced sleep schedule.

carpedienbella, assuming your'e not an ax murderer, and your essays/ interviews went well. It appears you have an excellent chance. Good luck!

what grade are you applying for again?
You sound like a really strong applicant.

Wow, is there a reason why everyone's suddening applying for Exeter this year?

thanks carpediembella.
You didn't seem like a girl even though the last bit of ur name was bella. It's odd how we immediately label people wrongly....
All my interviews went exceptionally well too.Especially at choate and westover. That better help a lot, because i'm not sure how i did on everything else.
BTW, what's Honors Algebra 2 Trigonometry, assuming that's what you were talking about? What grade r u applying for? If ur for freshman year i think i might die.

I think she's applying for sophomore year.. she mentioned (i think) that she's received her freshman grades already.

All my interviews went well except one was weird where she did all the talking and basically worked to convince me that her school was better than my other choices and basically trying to sell me on her school. I barely got to say anything. My dad said it sounded like a sales meeting I hope that's a good thing. She didn't ask me what i was reading or anything.
Comments?

She might have just liked u off the bat...

tappingprep has a point there. One of my interviews was something like that sort, although I did get a chance to voice my current interests. However, it turned out the man really liked me a lot.

I hope youo guys are right. It was frustrating because i was ready for any question. lol

lol Regis. I know what you mean...These interviews aren't the monsters people make them out to be. It is the College interviews we should be worried about...or not...

It could also mean that she was on auto-pilot and not that interested in me.

My W and I, rated all the interviews with our D. Ironically, the one school that appeared to be ready to sign her up on the spot, wait listed her. The one we felt that would reject her, accepted her. She was very competitive in her grades , scores, ec's, etc. We looked at the interview as very important. We felt that the schools are looking to create a community, and that at least 90 plus percent of the students that apply are well qualified. Therefore, we looked at the interview process to be very important. However, try not to read too much into them, you may end up being very surprised like we were with the outcome. All in all, we as parents, recieved alot of very good feedback from the interviewer. You may want to speak to your parents about their interview. They may have some good info for you to hang you hat on.

My taft interviewer spent the 1st half talking to me and asking questions, and the last bit she told me about the school and how great it was. At loomis we just talked, at westover my interview lasted way longer than it was supposed to and the woman said i was the kind of girl she wanted there. Thesame thing happened at choate. By the 3nd interview I was getting really good at selling myself.

Just wondering, did anyone get any christmas cards? I go them from all the schools.Did anyone get information involving activities?

There is a thread on the parent's board that made me clearly remember 14 years back when I applied to preps. I just want to tell you guys how fortunate you are. You are about to embark on an incredibly amazing adventure. You will be with smart, motivated peers. You'll be able to find true peers to a degree you probably haven't up until now. Don't sweat over whether it's Exeter, SPS or Choate, all of these schools have so much more to offer than the average kid ever gets to even dream of. Thank your parents and enjoy every minute!

Tapping - I did not get xmas cards. Did you get your paperwork in early - or was that based on your interviews? Was it from your interviewer or the school? That sounds like good news.

Yesterday I got an email from a coach!

I did not get my stuff in early.I mailed choate and loomis on the 15th!
I got thank you notes for coming,a lot of stuff from the choral and music departments and christmas cards from loomis westover and choate. Taft sent me a nice letter on how happy they were i was applying and how the interviewer really liked me
What kind of coach did you get theemail from? What schools are you applying to?

One of my interviews spoke with my mother first and they spent, literally and hour and a half talking about me and their experiences in boarding school, college, law school, and applying to all of them. I just sat outside the office and counted the ceiling tiles. There were 592 of them!!! (Sad that I remember that):( Then when he said "you can come in now" he asked me 2 questions and the interview was over. He said that was the best interview he ever had and thought I would be an excellent fit for the school. I was like "thank you ma!"

Esa, in all our interviews, my d went first. Was that the only one where your parents went first?
