tekno, they also sent it to me priority overnight...

I geuss until most of us find out in a couple of days.

HEre's the low down if you wanna access your admissions decision to Exeter online: only international students have that option while domestic applicants have to wait for the letter to arrive. This information is valid considering I just talked to an admissions officer over the phone asking the question.

I also asked when the decisions might come to the other areas in the Northeast. The officer indicated that although it might arrive tomorrow, it probably will end up being delivered Saturday.

Superior - I live in MA, only about 45 MINUTES from Andover, so that's why I got it today.

tekno, will you be a day student at Andover if you decide to go there?

I live in MA, 45 minutes from Anover too (Natick, between Framingham and Wellsley. Yes, I only live a 1 minute bikeride away from Wellsley College). Does that mean I didn't get accepted? I am lost. Hopefully, I live up to my sn and get accepted to either Anover or Exeter!

Do all acceptances get priority overnight shipping?

Probably not. Last year, MANY (actually, most) people found out their acceptance to Andover/Exeter on March 11 or 12.

YAY!!! thank God. When I was writing another post, the admissions office at St Mark's MA (Groton's rival/sister school) called me up. They called me up because they wanted to inform me of my decision (accepted) before everyone else and not to keep me in suspense. I'm soooo siked cause it is tied with Exeter for # 1 choice.

Congrats Superior!!!!!!

BTW siked is spelled psyched. jk jk jk jk.

Thanks a million!!! psyched I think has to do with being like something mental i guess, but who cares!!! I'm like on a natural high. But anyway, I gotta go to baseball. C YA and good luck to everyone!!!

tekno10m, where do you live?

Enjoy the Spring and Summer seasons, b/c when you come to school in the Fall, get ready to encounter a very, very, very, heavy High School work load and schedule that you have never encountered before. Keep yourself in shape both mentally and physically(really...do regular work outs), b/c you'll be competing with those who are just as ambitious and bright as you are now. I went from public school to a New England boarding school many years ago, and reality hit me in the face pretty hard about how tough the transition was at first. However, it all worked out in the end, b/c I stuck to it and refused to give up. Good luck, everybody...(and don't forget to have fun too)

superior - i live in Northboro, just northwest of Southboro/St. Mark's. Our school actually uses St. Mark's cross-country course in our home meets.

LOL, same here, when I got the good news, I celebrated running around the house until I got out of breath.

Supeior child,
congrats on your acceptance to st Mark's. Although st.mark's has not has been mentioned a whole lot, it is a very good school and i believe if you choose to go to St.mark's you will not be disappointed.

This post is mainly addressed to those students in 9th, 10th, and 11th grade who have been accepted to some boarding school:

Are most of you going to put a lot of effort into your studies for the rest of this year until summer? I normally try to memorize and understand everything for tests so I can get A's, but now that I can go to boarding school, I may just relax a little bit more. Also, I suppose colleges wont care if you got one B at your old school (I'm now in 10th grade).

Hey coolblue - I'm in 10th grade too. (We might even be classmates @ Andover!!!) Personally, I DEFINITELY want to slack off too. But, I STRONGLY recommend that you do not slack off, but not so much as for the grades. My reason is that if you start slacking off this year, then next year when the uber challenging work hits you, it might take you forever to transition and get back to working hard.

This is kinda like "senioritis", except it's "sophomoritis" :-)

Just my $0.02.

Haha we may even be DORMMATES! Seeing as how we both like math (and visit AOPS frequently), if we can't get singles we may be partnered up together...do you have AIM?

I didnt get into Groton. Depressed. But if I do get into Andover or Exeter, I'm going to study like hell during the summer, so I can rock at school. Or at least not die.

Wish me luck. Congrats to you people who got into your schools. I hope I get the same.

I've been reading this thread for weeks! Congratulations to you all! And, for those of you still waiting ..... so is my d! Waitlisted at Choate, turned down at Lawrenceville. Waiting for letters from Milton, St. Mark's, St. Andrew's.
How do wait lists work?
