Kevster, that would be a question the school would have to answer. did you apply as a day student or boarder? that would be very important. I would think day students waitlist would be near impossible.

i got that phelps scholarship thing too... yay

i think ill go to andover if I don't get in to exeter

I got into hotchkiss (but not enough financial aide)
I got into loomis (but i like andover better)
I didn't get into chaote cause i totally bombed the short answers and probably sounded a bit stupid doing them the morning I had to mail the applications out. -- i didn't really want to go there anyways

so im happy and still waiting for exeter...

Has anybody here (besides esa) heard from Exeter through the mail yet?

The son of a co-worker received his denial in the mail today from Exeter. We live 25 minutes from Exeter. So they are in the mail.

Did esa hear from Exeter yet?

And tekno, you should come on AIM sometime (AIM, not AIME!!)

I just heard from Exeter, Andover, and Nobles today. ACCEPTED ACCEPTED ACCEPTED!!! I'm so excited. I have a lot of thinking to do this weekend, deciding between Exeter and St. Mark's
:-/

S got his acceptance from Deerfield via fedex. We are international. YESSSSS!!!

congrats superior. i

I'm still waiting

Good luck, I know you already said this but what grade are you applying for tapping?

9th.going for loomis, westover and taft

We live in CA - nothing today in the mail. Just e-mail yesterday of acceptance. We all just want to know so bad.

I didn't get accepted to Castilleja, despite the fact that I had never gotten anything less than an A my whole life, my 7th grade standardized test scores were all the in top 1% percentile, I'm class president, I was lead in the school play, I was Clara in the Nutcracker Ballet, I volunteer tutor young children every week, I dance for over 20 hours a week, I'm a "peer mediator", and I got a 99 in the reading part of the admissions test and a 97 in the math section. ::sigh:: I got into a religious school though...I still one more prep school though...Harker. Hopefully I'll get into Harker...it's my first choice anyways. But today has been a big kick in the butt for me...I was so sure I was going to get into Casti...good thing I didn't apply to boarding school if I can't even get into a local prep school...

I haven't heard anything from Exeter yet, just Andover and SPS.

privileged and superior child, congrats on the acceptances! wow, those are some very nice schools. tappingprep, your next with some good news, I feel it's going to happen for you. Golden, i missed the entry, did your s/d get in somewhere? ::TJ:: any good news? what happened to jthe canadian? has anyone heard from him?

x_________infat, I hope you get some good news tomarrow with harker.
you certainly seem to have the credentials for any of these day and boarding schools. you know sometimes it becomes a game of numbers. I wish you well.

Prepp. It is so good of you to be rooting for these kids. Feel as if we all know each other. Yep hoping to hear some great news re tapping, TJ, JtheC and what about Indochick? Now we have to do the visiting, but Deerfield is looking good.

Thanks prepparents :-). I know that only 15 girls can be admitted into Castilleja for freshman year (all the rest are the girls that also went to Casti for middle school), so I don't feel so bad anymore. At least I'm on the waiting list, that's good right?
The only thing is, they admitted my friend...who has straight Bs. And she doesn't brush her hair...I mean, when she went in for her interview...she literally went in PJs and unbrushed hair...which is really bad because she has not brushed her hair once since 3rd grade...its growing into a bush now. And she got in. And she plays basketball. That's all. Maybe it's cause her dad's a multi-millionaire...? I dunno...it's just so unfair.
Great job to everyone who got into the schools they wanted to attend! You guys are remarkable!

x____fat, the bummer is that when you have a middle school in place, it can make things tuff for the group not already attending the school. As for your friend, we must congratulate her, and understand that it is a numbers game. maybe the number for a basketball player with a 'BUSH" for hair was need (chuckle). this is what diversity is about. X_fat, the sting will take some time, and it's understandable, but remember think positive on this matter.

indochick, I GOT YOUR BACK!
