Applying to Prep School!!!

summy that's certainly good news. Concentrate on thos victories (taft/hotchkiss) ya now the importat stuff.

skyykj, that is certainly good news.........your'e still in the game. GOOD LUCK!

esa, i'm waitng for the hat trick.........did i mention st. paul's seems right for you? lol

tappingprep, you'll be just fine. as I recall you still have some schools left. once you get that 1st one uder your belt you'll swing right back to who you really are.A confident wonderful thread person. I say thread because that's how I know you. I'll be praying that today will be your day

tappingprep, what schools do you have left? My recollection is that you apllied to 4 schools thus far and have heard from one. that being the case, now's the time to dig deep and believe good things will happen. I truly feel good about your chances.

Alright, guys. This is the day, hopefully, I get my letters from Exeter and Andover. Everybody try and share their luck with me.

How did your letters arrive? I realize most of you looked online- did anyone get their letters? Was it US post? Fed Ex?

Just one school... just one.... just one....

What the hell...

just two schools... just two... just two...

For those who didn't get in and are worried about what people will think:

You have nothing to be ashamed of, but I understand not wanted to answer questions. Many people have NO idea how tough some of the schools are to get into. There are just too many applicants for too few spots. It is hard to say why you weren' t picked. You sound great here. Just remember, after about a day, no one will even think about where you are going to school and what happened with your applications. They will all get back to thinking about other things: themselves. My daughter studied for a YEAR for an academic decatholon team, every year the team came in first, her team came in 7th. She went to school, everyone asked and believe it or not, everyone was very very nice and kind about it. After a day, it was all in the past.

She went on to place 2nd the next year....so don't give up hope and when my kids are discouraged by not be recognized for their talens,e tc, they do better to prove those people wrong. Use this to motivate you to be even better than you are..

::TJ::, i'm with you today, GOOD LUCK!

Have any non-international applicants heard from Exeter yet?

Still no news from Exeter... OH OH!!! SPAGHETTIOS!!!

Uh... Tekno...?

No mail from either of the schools. God. Cant they just get it to me? Unless it's Fed Ex. Could somebody please answer that question? Is it Fed Ex or US post? Or UPS?

tekno and::TJ::, I thought exeter was allowing prospective students to get the info via the internet

Andover sent me my acceptance by Fed Ex, but I don't know how the other schools are sending their decisions.

prepparent, Exeter allows only international students to access decisions online

Thanks, coolblue...

No, prep- thats only for international students. Otherwise it violates the ten schools agreement.

coolblue, oh I see. thankyou

Andover did it, they mailed my acceptance package on the 9th!!! I'm glad they did though. Who cares about dumb TSAO rules? Even the schools themselves ignore them.

Actually, I think the rules stated that none of the schools would TELL you if you had been accepted or not before the 10th. Andover didn't tell us before the 10th, it told us ON the 10th lol

Man, I just saw the Fed Ex truck past by my house so I guess no Exeter letter for me today...(that's if they send it with Fed Ex)

Nothing today.

::TJ:: it probably feels like eternity , but like the old saying. No news is good news

what are the probable chances for a waitlisted ?
