<p>From my limited reading about Stanford admission it impressed me as being somewhat quirky and very focused on accomplishment and passion. So if your student with C’s and a D but near perfect standardized test scores is a quirky genius with a demonstrated passion and success with it, and he can reflect this in his ap, he might strike gold. And you would never know if he didn’t apply…Of course if $45 dissuades the application, there’s probably not enough passion anyway.</p>
