Applying to Summer Programs (Junior)

Hello,

It just hit me that I need to find a summer program. I was interested in Math and Business, but most of the prestigious program application dates have passed (lead, SSP, RSI).

Does anyone know of any that are still open for applications? I am also submitting a research project to the Intel STS.

Here are some of my crudentials:
HS Junior
A- average
2300 SAT
State: NJ
Any help would be great.

Thank you

perhaps this is the wrong section?

there’s not much anymore, most have already passed their deadlines

Thanks. I’m really hoping theres at least one that i could apply to?

not that i am aware of
sorry

Thanks for your help. How would studying at an ivy compare with a prestigious summer program?

it would show you have money not ability = bad for FAFSA too
good for college essays in that if you’re planning to apply for that particular school, you can use the experience at the summer program as material or reference, mostly to “why would you want to attend our college?” sort-of questions.

Options:
Find an internship at a local company that makes stuff that interests you. I find that startups tend to be more forgiving for high school students.

Find a professor to do research with at a local university.

Take college classes.

I don’t think a prof would bother taking in an inexperienced high school noob while he/she has a whole undergraduate class at his/her disposal.

PROMYS
ROSS

mm can’t think of any others right now… but those two above are math ones
