Applying two years in a row?

So I recently finished my first quarter at a 4 yr university (UCSD, to be specific), but am looking to transfer.

I got a 3.675 this quarter and am wondering what are my chances of getting into georgetown or carnegie or NYU for their business program?
i had a decent hs gpa and great ec's in hs.
im involved in college as well.
the only thing im not sure about is my prof rec.

so the question is, should i go for it and apply for fall transfer '10? and if i get rejected try again for the following year?

or should i just wait, pull my gpa up, and then apply once my soph year?

basically, does it count against you if you apply more than once?

ohh and if it helps, i retook the act and am retaking the SAT ii’s.

bump bump bump

Adcoms don’t count it against you if you apply more than once. Every time you apply, your application is evaluated on its merits.
