I called my congressman's office and they told me.

Appointment offered showed up and two days later got a folder in the mail.

Son got a call from the Senator's aide, then the package showed up a week later. The website didn't get updated to 'appointment offered' until a week after that.

Question about the acceptance/declination of appointment form: In the area where it says "I certify that since completing my medical and dental exams, I have not had any illness . . ." Do I copy that over in the large white space, or just sign? This is one form I really dont want to mess up

I just signed it, so I hope we weren't supposed to copy that over in the big white space. I thought the big space was only to put any medical conditions that may affect your appointment. It didn't say to copy it over, but maybe we are supposed to. I already mailed mine back the day after I got it, so it's too late for me to do anything anyways. Could someone more knowledgeable on this subject please reply, as I am now worried if I filled out this form correctly or not also.

I got a call from my congressman's academy staffer. My congressman actually called USAFA to make sure that they were going to appoint me. :)

I'm sure that your form is fine. If they had wanted you to copy that, they would have indicated it on the form.

My son got a call over Christmas break from someone at the Academy. The person asked my son, "Do you believed in Santa Claus?" My son answered, "Why?" And the person on the phone said, "Because your package just met the board and you're getting an appointment to the US Air Force Academy! Oh, and, act surprised when your congressman calls you!" The official offer or appointment showed up in the mail a week or so later. My son was too excited to remember or get the name of who called. He has no idea.
