Yeah usna2012dad!!! hugs to you boy!!!

I recieved my nomination on saturday and my LOA today!!!!! Just talked to my BGO and said that an appointment should be on its way in the next week or two!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is probably the happiest day of my life!

Way to go, FlyingAce!

Congratulatons!!! FlyingAce

Appointments take approximately two weeks to process after you receive a nomination and everything else in complete.

Son received his nom today for USNA! He is very excited!

'Twas one year ago this week my offsprung received notice of his nom to USNA, and his letter of appointment arrived one week later. As others have noted, one of the greatest of days in life for the candidate and all who love him/her.

So happy for those who are starting to hear ... and those who will. Try and receive the waiting, however long or short, as a blessing and gift.

I got my nomination today!! And I sent in the remidial form for DOMERB. So coupled with my LOA, I am just waiting for my letter of appointment...can't wait!

it's sooo exciting to see the class of 2012 taking shape! Way to go flying ace and fire2gold!

2012... that's so weird... yayyy that means plebe year is almost over!

Jack... don't get so excited. You have one semester to go and that is through the Dark Ages! ;)

Heh, if I do go to USNA, I have a feeling the Dark Ages won't do anything to me. Being from Maine, we never get above freezing from Mid-November until Late-April, and during that time the sun only comes our fully a few times a week.

Simayan - you and plebes from AK will think it's spring during the Dark Ages!! (although I think the term "Dark" has more to do with length of time before another leave opportunity than length of daylight) Best of luck!

My son received his appointment on Christmas Eve... dated 12/14. He has an LOA and 2 nominations, one from Senator Specter and one from our Representative, Chaka Fattah. We're from Philadelphia.

Appointment dated 14 December, but I got it on 23 Dec. A VERY NICE Christmas present.

Congratulations!!! HVWebster and 2012MomInPA

congrats everyone!

I received my triple qualification news from my regional director. I also have an appoinment and my app in a month and a half before the deadline, 12/12. I sent in changes to my app, such as Certified Lifeguard, new college classes etc. And my area doesn't have many applicants. My regional director says I am likely material for an appointment. Just waiting...

Yayy!

Ha 2012mom?,

Our mid has never had a hard time with the Dark Ages! He has always come home for Christmas and endured the <3 hours of daylight (and occasionally slept through the entire daylight span of a day) and when he returns it seems very light to him! :)

Congrats every one!
