That’s what ACT thinks…there’s really no other way to test science though. besides reading charts/tables and knowing basic theory with direct/inverse relationships (volume, temperature, pressure, etc.)

wouldnt only Ice be present over 4000 feet?

^Was that the crystal lattice structure option?

ok i took the ACT today and thought that the ready was surprisingly easy (i usually run out of time) but today i had 5 min. leftover. As for the math, i started to panic at the 5 minute mark. What was the answer to the question about one square had side length L longer than the other?? i put 2L but it was a complete guess. Also, in english in the passage about corn there was a question with a semicolon and a comma. something about kernals and chromosomes i believe. i put a semicolon but i’m not sure if that’s right?

The math question answer is sqrt2 x L (root2 times L)
i don’t remember the english one though

i’m pretty sure that english one was a comma… i don’t remember the exact sentence though so i can’t really tell you why…

does any1 remember any of the answers to the
reading portion?..lets tlk bout tht…i ran out of time:(

Me too. I messed up the reading… was the one about the significance of criteria? the last reading section…

Anyone have any weird test experiences? Today, we had to sit in movie theater seats while using a desk about the size of a piece of paper on our right side. It looked like an arm rest! I had to read my test booklet on my lap. Also, one kid didn’t finish English on time so he just left after math.

Why wouldn’t he continue?

No idea, he seemed a bit aggravated because the university clock was chiming every hour and the fact that there was a buzzing sound every 5 minutes as well. Maybe he just didn’t feel like finishing was worth it? lol

i think it was “heading into clouds” because the sentance below started with “feeling,” so therefore they are both the same tense or wtv

@gagafan, it was a comma because the beginning of the sentence was an appositive

did people get a lot of D’s for the first 15 or so questions

yanees, did you fill in anything other than D?

@yankess

I dont think “heading into the clouds” is correct cause that would create a misplaced modifier

it would be like

Heading into the clouds, raindrops_____

The raindrops are not heading into clouds

yea thats good logic i think ur right

You didn’t take your test at one of your local high schools? Perhaps he still possesses time to attend an alternative test.

Is there an accurate prediction of what the curves will be?

The closest place possible was a university 6 miles away.

I suppose that was the most ideal location then.
