@Firemeter the biggest thing on science is that you go straight to the questions. The first question for every passage is a direct “read the table/graph and find what they’re asking you for.” Everything else is pretty much either look at the graphs/charts/pictures or read the little blurb explaining the purpose of the experiment. Your writing score does not affect your composite score as a whole - rather, it is combined with your English score and reported as a separate score.

I did do that, i guess but on one of the science it asked to look at the graph something of V=BH, and the distance from earth? i had no idea how to find that because the graph was V - BH and nothing seemed to equal? i guess i had no idea to understand that. Do we ever get to see what we got wrong and see the past correct answers? Thanks lemon

First Timer! The Math Was Definitely The Toughest, Essay Topic Was Horrible!

Now the real question is, what answer did I put down…

My guess:
M: 55/60 (So many mistakes) -> 32/33
R: 39/40 -> 35
S: 40/40 -> 36
E: 70/75 -> 33

Curve will save me or kill me here. Hoping for a 34 cumulative. I really need that 34 :/

Out of curiosity, what was the essay topic? I did it sans writing.

I answered murmured also, it was the only that made sense.

About lawmakers making factories take pollutants out of the gas they emit near schools so students can have clean air, why or why not

essay topic was about lawmakers arguing about whether to move or close businesses that pollute the air in order to have students get the best environment for them to learn with “healthy air”

I argued against moving them, my opinion

I’m ambivalent (so far, I don’t recall having any different answer than the cc “correct answers,” but I’m not making that the determinant of how I did).

…5-8 weeks to go!

I was neutral, I put if lawmakers were to move the businesses away from students they should cater to everyone, from white to blue collared workers. They should be worried about thrme macrocosum instead of the microcosum, not only students but citzens and immigrants alike

Macrocosm★ Microcosm

I took the more economic approach to the essay. Overall, math, english and reading were easy. Science was hard for me today. Any curve predictions?

Sent from my Infected Rezound using CC

The essay prompt was not asking about whether they should move/close the businesses and factories. It was asking whether the businesses and factories located near schools should eliminate the pollutants and emissions they release into the air.

if I talked about the businesses and factories having to change their ways instead of moving, would I get a low score?

Well Yea, I also stated that they should also be worried about the citzens welfare, and they should eliminate the pollutants in our neighborhoods

★citizens’

i felt that the science and maths section were harder than usual, and i just hope i got 34+ on english and reading… and i don’t care about the essay as long as i get 8+ haha

@tigerash thats exactly how i feel too haha, usually math and english i expect 35+ but this math was unusually hard so hopefully reading makes up for it

I think that the English section was average in comparison to most of the tests on The Real ACT Prep Guide. I think that the math was more difficult that usual; I encountered a lot of what seemed like Intermediate Algebra questions. The reading was fine, except the first passage kind of hit hard and I had to rush to finish. The Science was beyond easy! I was surprised about the four arguing scientists section. It’s rare that we encounter that, but their responses were very easy to interpret. The writing was average with the prompt asking if air polluting factories and businesses should be allowed to operate near schools.
