Most recent practice test…

English: 35
Reading: 36
Science: 34
Math: 29

Ugggh math. I just forget all these stupid formulas, like the area of a trapezoid and the arithmetic sequence crap. Need to do some last minute studying…

I’ve done like 3 practice tests, and these are the score ranges I’ve gotten:

Math: 35-36
Science: 31-35
English: 34-36
Reading: 32-36

Hoping for a 34+ on the real test. The only part I actually have a lot of trouble with is the optional writing section. That 30 minute essay is killer!

I’m not really concerned with tomorrow. My highest score is a 25 (without studying, practicing, or reviewing skills).

My English is always between 28-29. But I can never hit the 30 mark.

My Reading used to be in the high 20’s as well, but I changed my way of doing it and my scores dropped to low 20’s. I used to just look at the questions and then skim the passages, but I changed that and decided to try and read… it bottomed my score out terribly. And I am a fairly good reader!

Math. What can I say? It’s math! There was only one time that I finished the Math section on time, and I thought I had done good… turns out my Math subscore was a 23! Best advice for Math: TAKE YOUR TIME! Don’t rush. You may overlook something, but this can go for any section on the ACT.

The Science is always my lowest. I keep it in the low 20’s. It never comes above a 21 or 22. I just have problems with the questions. But since it’s the last (and often times most difficult) section of the test, I’m tired and too exhausted to care by that point.

I’m hoping for a 26+, but I’m not betting on it. I plan to take ACT summer classes and study fiercely for the next few months. I know if I just work at it, my score will go up. But being apathetic has its consequences!

Good luck, everyone!

Wow, haha first O_O
guessing everyones like napping or something.
How did everyone think it was?? Any iffy ones on any of the questions?

I think i’m going to buy the Red book and I can get the PR from the library. What did you guys use to prep?

Red book is good for practice tests. PR is good for strategies. I would recommend both.

I know that for the SAT, colleges sometimes look at the the Math and Critical Reading separate from the Writing. Is there anything like this for the ACT? (like looking at Reading, Math, and Science or something?) Do they even care about the separate scores, or do they just look at the composite? And how does the essay work into it? Sorry, so many questions!
