@arminkeihani i would say a 26
English: -3
Math: -3
Reading: -2
Science: -6
Estimation of score please?
also for ppl that took the feb test, how did you think this one compared, section by section?
I took ACT today, first time. Anyone who has taken it in the past, can you please comment on its relative difficulty compared to previous tests?
I was in the low/mid 30s (30.5-33.75) on the Official ACT red book practice tests, and I usually finished each of them (besides reading) with a minute or two to spare (Including test 4, which is newer I guess). But the test today was alot harder imo; I ended up short on time in each section, and I couldn’t understand the last passage on science. I marked all the answers, had to randomly guess about 8 over the entire test.
Wow. Anybody think today’s ACT was extremely harder than any other? I’m pretty sure I did fine on English and Math (both 34-35 range) however, I’m just generally bad at reading and science. Reading I did okay… Not too well. However, science just made my confidence reach rock bottom. So upset after science. Probably missed like half of the test to be honest, and I usually get like a 27-28 on it…
@balrog29 I thought that the math was harder than usual, but I don’t think it was that hard. I hope for a -1 36, but I wouldn’t bank on it. I think it’s possible though. What did you think about English? A lot of people though it was also pretty hard compared to other tests.
Ditto about the Reading section. I read pretty quickly, skipped some lines, and still ran out of time.
I would guess for me
English: -3
Math: -2
Reading: -1
Science: -5 or more
Alright. Here it is. Be honest with me.
English: (-1/-2/-3) ; 34/35/36
Math: -2 ; 35/36
Reading: -0 ; 36
Science: -1 or -2 ; 34/35/36
Think I have a shot for the coveted 36? It looks like it depends on that English section which I honestly can’t remember much of, it being the first test.
@swanjoe0
I thought the English was easy except for one of the passages. Math didn’t have many hard questions imo just a bunch of medium ones at the beginning instead of easy ones. I missed one in math cause I forgot the unit circle. Science you needed to know a decent bit of outside info which was unusual. And in reading I had to guess on one question because it didn’t make sense to me but besides that it was easy imo. I really hope the -1 math is a 36 cause the college I’m trying to get into superscores and if I get a 36 I can just stop studying for math lol.
For those posting questions and answers. Isn’t this prohibited?

X-intercept/Zero/Root is when you set the numerator equal to zero.
Vertical asymptote is when you set the denominator equal to zero.
Horizontal asymptote is when you find what y equals when the limit is infinity.
how many people agree that the ACT was a bit harder this time? I felt that the math was significantly harder.
thought it was harder because of the sudden change in format
When they change format do they give generous curves?
Yeah I thought the math was hard. I didn’t know how to do a lot of the questions at the end and I am usually really good at math. I didn’t even come close to finishing the Science I had to randomly guess on like 12 Science ones. The Reading I also had trouble finishing and probably did bad. English I think I did ok on.
Predicted Scores
Math:29
English:27
Science:22
Reading:24
Composite:26
At least my SAT was 1870 so I can just not send my ACT.
same!!!
do you guys think we’ll get these back in 10 or so days?
We’re there different versions of the tests or did everyone have the same questions? Was everyone’s essay about fast food?
