I’ve taken the ACT twice, in Sept 2014 and April 2015. Superscored, my scores (by section) are:
English: 35
Math: 33
Reading: 33
Science: 33
However, I got a 32 composite score both times I took the test. Will colleges recalculate this composite score with my superscored sections (this would be a 34, two points higher!) or will they just see 32?
First time taking it and got a composite score of 29!!! Even though my goal was a 29+, I still plan on retaking it in June because I messed up on reading and I consistently score 34+ on reading usually so I know I can get my score up
English- 33 honestly a bit surprised it was this high but excited nonetheless
Math 26- it was to be expected it’s my weakest subject but better than what I thought honestly
Reading 27- like I said easily improvable
Science 31- where’d that come from??
A 29 satisfies me but I guess I’m getting greedy now congrats everyone and see you back in June for those scores!!
You’re being absolutely ridiculous, @outlooker . I hope you do realize that a composite score of 33 is the 99th percentile nationally (http://www.actstudent.org/scores/norms1.html) and the majority of people would love to have a score that high. A 33 is not going to put you at a disadvantage in the admissions process. Stop whining and focus on the other parts of your application.
Guys I got a 30 in February and April, but in February it went math:32, reading:30, english: 30, science: 29 and in April it went math:31, reading:25, science:30, english:35, and I am top 10% academically at a very rigorous college prep high school but for some reason am not testing well. Does anybody know what I could do over the summer to nail it in the fall (my superscore is 32 which is good, but my best composite is 30)? I have been tutoring.
I took the ACT in April and got a 30 without studying or preparing at all. I’m a sophomore in high school and plan on taking it again to improve my score. What would be the “magic score” to get big time money from schools, especially in-state schools like Kentucky and Louisville?
