The Science was so so hard and confusing!
Hopefully science has a good curve
Very fun experience. I felt the English was around average/normal. However, the math was insanely hard at the higher end questions 45-60 were very difficult and I struggled to finish. Reading was ridiculously painful-- science passage and prose passage made me want to cry had to guess on 4-5 questions. Science was the Mac daddy of the pain train LOL. I mean the last 3 passages made me want to vomit. Honestly though I’m almost certain the curve will be generous on Math, reading an science. Hopefully everyone did well here’s my prediction of how I did. ENGLISH: -10-15 (25-29) MATH -10-15 (27-31) READING -8-14 (24-30) SCIENCE -12 (25)
For all of you who have a lot more experience with this test than me(not much experience at all) Do you think the science is going to have a significant curve? Or did you think the science really wasn’t that bad?
I didn’t think science nor reading were all that bad. In the past I’ve had trouble with finishing the reading, however, this time I finished all of it.
I guess im a different test taker cause the reading was the easiest by far for me and the science was pretty easy . I took 3 practice tests from the red book the past 2 weeks and of the reading and science tests, the real one was the easiest by far. The English was difficult for me and the math was pretty average. This is the 2nd time I took the test and the first time on math I had to guess on around 8-10 questions and on this one I only had to guess on 4 of them.
Writing was not that difficult. I was able to finish with 2 minutes left and was fairly confident in my answers. Math was easy except for one weird math problem. Reading was ok with the exception of 1 tough passage which wasted a lot of my time. Finally, science was VERY fast-paced but I managed to finish with 2 minutes left, though I’m sure I would’ve missed questions due to the rush. I cannot think of a single question that had me stumped. The main problem is that the test was SO fast-paced that I am sure I made silly mistakes (1-2 in writing, 1 in math, 1-3 in reading, and maybe 1-2 in science). My predicted score could literally be + or - 2 points. I did not properly contemplate every question and thus could’ve either aced the ACT or bombed it.
When do we get scores?
Was feeling good until the end of the math section… Killed me… Also there was no clock in the testing room ://
Finally made an account to join you guys, LOL.
I thought the math was good, save for that last page. That was killer - might’ve missed 3 on there. Writing was easy, reading was good save for maybe, again, 3 questions. I REALLY had to rush through science and maybe missed no more than 5 there - at least, that’s what I’m hoping. The essay prompt was pretty easy to maneuver around and I think I did pretty well there.
Just hoping I break 31! This was my first try, and math and science are making me nervous.
Any predictions on the curve? We probably have tons more test takers since the SAT is getting changed, and all…
Didn’t really practice as much for the ACT as the SAT. I took the ACT for the 1st time today and the time constraint is really brutal… like I didn’t do a passage for reading, and I had to guess for like 4 questions for the grammar and science one. I thought math was really easy, tbh.
In my opinion, English was average, Reading was easier, Math was easier, but the Science section killed me.
I really didn’t like that essay prompt; like, I wanted something with more substance.
I was able to move very quickly on reading, and I thought it was easy. Some science passages were difficult, but the section as a whole was not too terrible. I did not think Math and english were too hard either, but reading all of these discussions are making me nervous.
I probably got around a 32 on English, a 26 on Reading, a 28 on Math, and a 25 on Science. Composite score of 28.
I read some article about the new essays being graded harshly, so I’m a bit nervous about that.
Do u have the link?
I thought English was really bad lol. I’ll be good to have a 30 there after 33 in February. I think it will be a generous curve. I was rocking math, only skipping two until #50 when I heard 5 minutes remaining. Hoping for a decent curve there. I’ve taken October, February, and now April, and I thought this reading was the easiest I’ve ever had. Science was probably the hardest of the 3, but still not as bad as some sections I’ve taken as practice. Hoping for a normal curve and nothing too harsh on those two.
Is it a separate score 1-36 now ?
How does it compare to last essay if your school super scores?
How does new essay format work? 1-36? So if u bomb essay with a 20 that kills composite score?
