APUSH Exam Question

On the APUSH exam can there be a question that tests if you know what happened in a specific year? Not literally, “Which of these did not happen in 1824 …” but maybe something similar.

I highly doubt that. That seems more like a trivia question that I do not believe the writers will use, so I would not worry about being that specific with dates unless they’re really important and ones you SHOULD know by heart (e.g. 1776).

capitalamerica is right they don’t ask you about a single year, what they might do is put the year in the question in order to get you started on the right track. in terms of the type of question you gave as an example they do ask alot about "which of these events did/did not contribute to some later event occurring. Like capitalamerica also said you should have about 20 years memorized because they were significant points in american history, like:

  1. 1608
  2. 1776
  3. 1789
  4. 1812
  5. 1824
  6. 1860
  7. 1900
  8. 1914
  9. 1929
  10. 1939
  11. 1963
  12. 1969
This are several more but all of these years you should know backwards and forwards with every event that occurred in these years. You won’t get a question like “which event happened in this year”, but the year might be mentioned in the question and knowing the years will usually get you to the correct answer

I only know the significance of half of those :(
