I have a choice between APUSH (ap us history) and chem honors next year. I want to take ap chem the year after, but I also would like to have another ap course done earlier (for transcript purposes). Both are requirements, so I'm trying to figure out how to prioritize. By taking ap chem a year earlier, i would have more experience for chem-related competitions (Scioly in particular). Any advice?

Oh and I’m a rising freshman…

Chem is so much more important than APUSH in nearly all aspects of higher education. Picking APUSH for the mere “AP” title is pathetic. You seem geared towards science, do what’s best for you to excel

History has always been a strong subject for me, but math and science is where I excel. Thanks for the advice!

I agree with smarty99. Taking honors chem gives you a good foundation. At my school, I was required to take honors before going into ap. After taking the ap class, I realized that it really is a tough class.

Well, our school requires us to take bio honors in freshman year. I have an extra hour that I can choose something to fill. I think I will end up taking chem honors this year and APUSH next year (both are sophomore year classes in our school).
