Architecture Schools

Im from TX, and i want to stay in TX. I forst wanted to enter Austin UT, but to be realistic i have little hope that i will get admitted. I’m a roreign so i dont know much about how to enter to colleges here in the US. So what other schools are good for architecture? If i get to a good school can that guarantee that i will get a job afterwards?

Im lookinh for academics, campus life, and acceptance and requirimenrs and cost, i also want to be in a diverse school

Welcome to CC. If you look under the majors forum the first one mentioned is Architecture Majors. You’ll probably find your best advice there.

My rankings of the Texas schools would be:

Rice
UT Austin
UT Arlington
UH
Texas Tech
UTSA
Texas A&M

I would think you could get into at least one of the top five, which are all pretty solid schools. I confess that i am not as familiar with UTSA so perhaps I am being a bit unfair. As far as being guaranteed a job with a good school: nothing guarantees you a job but your hard work and portfolio.

I am from Texas and I am a current Architecture student at UTSA. UTSA is a good school for undergrad, but I would not go here for grad school. Realistically big San Antonio firms like Lake Flato hire from UT Austin. However, UTSA is cheaper than the rest. I would recommend going to UH, and then go to grad school at Rice or UT Austin. Similarly, after I graduate I am planning to go to UT Austin for my masters (If I am accepted). If you rather go to UT Austin then Rice, then go to UT Arlington or UTSA for undergrad so you are already in the UT system.
