are colleges looking at the writing?

anyone know if colleges are gonna look at the writing section? specifically, uconn or northeastern??

Critical Reading 590
Math 520
Writing 530
thats wat i got, not very good compared to what some of the other people get on this board

also, do all the sat scores get sent?? i was sick when i took the sats the time before and i got like 1400, does that get sent?

i know for a fact that the UC schools DEFINITELY look at the writing section, mainly because they're so sought after and need another stat to weigh in. im not personally familiar with the schools you have listed so i don't know how competitive they are. chances are, the more competitive, they'll weigh the writing score. look into their websites though to see if they specify if the writing is a major component because i know that a lot of schools have chose not to use the writing score. sorry i wasn't much help!

Yes. I would say 99% of the colleges look at the Writing. It used to be a required SAT II and its importance hasn't diminished.

I think the writing is one of most important subjects in SAT II.
