Are International student's SAT scores looked at differently?

I'm a English student, scored all As and A*s in my 9 GCSE exams (If that means anything to you americans, but its very good, I made it into the top 20 for my class of 100 high GPA or whatever its called, think its like 3.5 or 4.0 or something). I have extensive extra curricular activities and clear interests that I have stuck with for a long time. I made a list of colleges and researched them extensively, setting my sights high I had no idea how hard the SAT was, aiming for Dartmouth and a couple other good schools (non Ivy). Every aspect of my application would look great apart from my SAT results (1750) that I plan to retake before I send out my application, however I am scared I will still do equally as bad. My question is: Would a low SAT score eliminate me from the possibility of going to Dartmouth (its my dream school) even though I am an international student (unfamiliar with this format of testing) and appear to have every other aspect of the application more or less sorted out?

Unfortunately there are many international students who do perform well on the SAT. Even US kids who perform spectacularly on the SAT, and on every other measure, often don’t make it into the top schools in the US. It is very competitive. Why is Dartmouth your dream school? There are literally dozens of schools that may be similar to Dartmouth depending on what made you choose it as a goal.
