I go to a very difficult private prep school in New England, and my grades are far lower than Clemson’s average as a result. My accumulative gpa is a 3.3. However, this is pretty typical at my school, and I am actually in the top 25% of my school (But unfortunately my school does not submit ranks.) My question is, at a larger university such as Clemson, which can tend to be very formulaic and numbers based in the admission process, will they take a more thorough look at my high school and realize that my grades are actually decent? Also, my SAT,s are slightly above the Clemson average.
Clemson determines acceptance based on GPA, rigor, test scores and rank. I suggest that you look at the Commin Data Set for last year to see how you measure to the most recent class.
