the shower situation in college worries me a tad

as a girl, im wondering if a robe comes in handy? or would i just look like a total prude by wearing one around? do the showers have those little spaces where you can get dressed/lotion up/etc?

I'm wondering about robes too (and I'm a guy). I've read everywhere that you should bring a reobe and I asked my dad (who went to the same college I'm going too) and he said I should use one. Is there usually a plae to put your close (close to you) while you're showering

Do you use one at home? If not, don't bother--it'd just be a waste of money. Towels can serve the same purpose by being wrapped around your waist/chest.

Robes can come in handy. I brought one, but never used it; but my roomate used hers everyday. To each his own i guess. Usually right next to your shower there will be a few wall hooks to hang your towel/robe up.

IMO, the people who use robes, you wouldn't want to see in just a towel anyway though...XD

i think robes come in handful..they are easier to have than towels..plus u can keep stuff in their pockets as well..i think its a good thing to have.

my one friend borrowed his girlfriends robe when he went into her bathroom at her dorm and he reached in the pocket and came out with all these tampons... I thought it was pretty funny..

also if you have a long torso keep in mind how long your towel will reach. . . I know if I just use a towl I can't cover my butt and boobs at the same time 8)

I used a robe at the begining of the year, when I was a bit worried about walking down the halls in a towel. By the second month, however, I just used the towel. I got a really large one so that it covered everything.
