Are these awards really a big thing?

<p>National Honor Role is a scam. Also, these awards don't really tell anything specific about you, so they don't seem very impressive. 3.</p>

<p>who's who is also a scam. a lot of college application books use who's who as a canonical example of a meaningless award.</p>

<p>They always send me mail that says "buy this book" and "this is a very prestigious award hardly anyone gets".</p>
