I'm currently a senior in high school and received a letter for National Honor Roll. Unfortunately, I've never heard of this award before. Is this award worth putting on college applications under the Awards & Distinctions section?

I don't know. My first thought was, hey, it's not like Who's Who in that it doesn't ask for you to buy "yearbooks" or mugs. But then, I saw that it was "publishing" a "biography." It just sounds like a profiting organization whose trade is feeding student egos instead of selling appliances. I know I didn't do anything to get this letter, so it can't be so special.

It's not special at all...in fact its a scam.

My friend in the inner city with a D average recieved in the mail...it seems very random. Including that will incite laughter from Adcoms.

Thanks for the help, guys.

Hi
recommend you don't mention it. Your report card speaks for itself.
