Are we being duped?

You know how most schools say not to apply unless you havw the numbers, definitely, b/c admission early is just as if not and sometimes usually is harder than regular? WEll i s Penn trully diferet in that ive heard and understand that they are more willing to accept borderline canadites (but still qualified) early b/c they want a campus of people that want to be there?

I found this incredibly difficult to understand, can you retype that?

I think his post is trying to say the following:
'Is it easier to get into Penn ED than RD?'

The answer to that: seemingly, yes

They're more willing to accept ED than RD because they want students who want to be there. HOWEVER, I don't think this would come at the expense of a strong academic body. In fact, I think if you look at the numbers, ED students on avg. have about the same or higher avg. SAT scores than RD students.

Nevertheless, if you think you're borderline, apply. The admit rate for non-applicants is 0%.
