Are you "friends" with the current valedictorian?

The current valedictorian is my brother.

(I'm a junior, he's a senior)

I don't know the class of '09's valedictorian well, though I'm sure we'll get along fine (we're on the Academic Decathlon team together this year).

As for my class's (2010) current valedictorian, yes and yes. He'd help me understand anything I have trouble with in class and vice versa. :) Which is saying a lot about either our friendliness or how noncompetitive we are, considering I'm #2...

I'm friendly with the senior class val, but not my class' val. What's weird is that they are both cousins, but the val of my class is immature and a total jerk to everyone, the senior class val is completely different, he's really nice and gets along with pretty much everyone.

Most of the people in the top 5 or so of my class hate our val so we are all in a competition to see who can bring him down. None of us want to see him graduate as val.

The top seven or so of us are generally good friends, with a little bit of antagonism between some for reasons entirely unrelated to rank.

People don't pay attention to rank at our school, though. The school doesn't even release it 'til October... so what we know, we just know by talking to each other about our GPAs.

The current Val is my best friend. I'm just outside of the top 10. However, I tease him alot, because I decide his grade in one of his classes, and I jokingly offer the title of valedictorian to number 2 for money. (There is no way in hell I'd do it. If I did, I wouldn't be surprised if my house were to burn down.)

we don't rank, but our school had something like 27 vals last year. one of my best friends should be one this year...

Never talked to him. I'm good friends with the #2 girl though. :)

I'm friends w/ the #1 person in my grade (imma junior so it's technically not the "val"). For the val, I've never spoken to him.

One of the people who will likely be one of our valedictorians next school year is perhaps my best friend at my school. She is set on doing well, but she's not obsessed with competition, and she doesn't exist merely on the thought of getting into an Ivy. Another potential val is also my friend, but he's rather arrogant and thinks the school is beneath him... sigh

i hope people are friends with me

I think I know who our valedictorian is and I'm on friendly terms with him.

I'm friends with her. She's nice.

I'm no.3 and I don't know who val. is but I'm sure of the two people that are ahead of me and I'm friends with both of them. My class doesn't have that type of competition (yet).

^ What grade are you in? 10th?

I'm tied for #2, and I've been great friends with #1 for 7 years now. We are very competitive but in a friendly way. I think if it wasn't for his competition I wouldn't have been so motivated. I beat him in APUS, he beat me in AP Language.. but damn the kid is smart lol. I've very happy he's the one in front of me, he's well deserving and very humble.

As for the kid I'm tied for #2 with... ohhhh I want to kick him out of my spot BAD! We are actually best friends though haha. I have 2 AP classes this year, he has only 1. We'll see who comes out on top!! ;)

We don't rank except to have "valedictorians" who speak at graduation (qualification is getting straight A's throughout hs, usually 4-5 people)
So far, myself and two friends who have gone from preschool all the way with me are qualified, though...there's no competition, obviously, since we can't outrank one another, but I think its sweet that we're all in it

I am friends with number 1, 2, 3, and 4. I am number 8. I greatly dislike number 7 and 10. That is about it.

I am the top ranked student in my class... the girl who is number 2 is a bit sour about it since she thinks she is Jesus, but I'm cool with everyone else... most of my good friends are actually in the 3-10 range

I'm a junior SharkObessed, early in the year though. And I go to a really small public school.

he's one of my greatest friends!
