Are you REALLY tired?

No matter what you do to keep yourself awake with coffee, pills, ice cubes, or seven cans of soda, are you still tired? I am. I hate this. I can sleep throughout the whole day. I tend to sleep early and wake up so late and still feel tired. This is driving me crazy because I wasn't like this last year or two years ago. I am SO tired, not exhausted. Dead tired.

i didnt think i was... but i am. I've had dark circles under my eyes for months, my mom is going to buy me some products to make them go away its getting so bad. i havent felt refreshed in a long time. no matter how much i sleep i still feel dead.

you need to excercise more lol

If I go a week with very little sleep it aches to move. I feel like someone strapped 1,000 lb. weights to my ankles. Moving is difficult. But it's only because of a lack of sleep, nothing else. Sugar can get me through an hour or two before it makes me get even worse. Oversleeping also causes sleepiness ironically :p

It's called being a teenager. ;)

Get a girlfriend, they will keep you awake. :)

I've just spent 11 hours at school. Now I'm doing homework.

i've spent 11.5 hrs in the library, studying for my finals (chem - which is tomorow. then i got maths the day after. then i got physics after that).
I've already had 3 exams and i'm just burnt out from those 3.

I'm usually realy really enthusiastic and stuff. right now, i dont feel like talking or getting out of this chair. My eyelids feel really heavy and my brain just blanks out every 10min or so. my head feels extremely light. oh and i just had my braces tightened so i got a mouthache.

Could you perhaps be sick. Last year I was really tired, to the point I could barely function, stay awake in school. I felt like I had no energy. Turned out I had mono.

I thought I had mono for an entire year. Turns out I was just really bored.

I thought I was just weak and wasn't sleeping enough. My parents dragged me to my doctor in December. Apparently I'd had it since like September. Must have gotten it an Oktoberfest. lol.

I've been getting roughly 30 hours a sleep per week...though I've become used to pulling all-nighters during the weekdays, my parents still won't let me sleep past 9 o'clock during the weekend! P!sses me off....

Thanks to my BF... I had 1 hour sleep last night. I'm wrecked!

I've got the same thing. Of course I have to be at school at 6:30.
It's also possible you have mild sleep apnea. Talk to your doc next time you see them.

one night sleeps doesn't mean your cured of tiredness, you gotta keep constently sleeping for 8 hours of more everyday. Which is pretty much near impossible for most of us.

You could have sleep apnea...it's a disorder that makes it so you avoid REM sleep, thus your brain doesn't get rejuvinated the way it should. It's as if 8 hours of physically sleeping is really 2-3 hours to your brain. You will still be tired, because your brain needs to have REM sleep for a longer amount of time (something like 6 hours if you're an adult I think).

Although I'm quite sure that sleep apnea usually occurs in overweight people, it's still something to check out by having a sleep study done on yourself.

what's a 'mono' ?
When i sleep for more than 8 hrs, my subconscience keeps on telling me that i'm getting fat and lazy, too far in my comfortable zone, dumb, not ambitious enough, stupid, etc..
it's crazy

I might go to the doctor, but I dunno... I have to get cream for the dark circles under my eyes... I'm 17...

NoFX, I'm a guy and I think the same things.

Hey Griff? Chupathingy? How about it? It's got a ring to it.

First we have naptime, then we have food time, then we have food naptime! That is my favorite.

Quoted from Wikipedia. Mononucleosis:

"is a disease seen most commonly in adolescents and young adults, characterized by fever, sore throat and fatigue. It is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) or the cytomegalovirus (CMV). It is typically transmitted through saliva or blood, often through kissing, or by sharing a drinking glass, eating utensil or needle. Contrary to common belief, the disease is relatively non-contagious. The causative virus is also found in the mucus of the infected person, so it is also easily spread through coughing or sneezing."
