Art student chances??

Hi - I'm just beginning the transfer process and I was wondering if I have a chance at cornell or other top schools.
My high school grades were pretty low: 3.7 gpa and 1310 SATs.
But I've been in college for a year with a 3.9 GPA. I have also studied art in Italy for a semester and I have a successful painting career (galleries/solo shows/awards). What is the most artistic Ivy school? How much do special talents count in the Ivy League?

it varies by college. for example, the architecture department admissions committee really looks for creative talent and strong credentials. The engineering department looks for people with high academic credentials.

i don't know which is the most artistic ivy but cornell does have a strong architecture program (even though architecture is also a science). I don't know much about their art program but it does seem to be pretty solid. most AAP students go to rome for a semester or year but i guess you've done that already.

thanks....I"ll definately look into Cornell. I've heard that brown has a great art program too. But do you really think it's possible to get into a top school with my grades and SATs?
