you guys definitely win the prize for most patient family in this process!!!
It is a stressful process! She didnât get into UB but she didnât really mind, it was not her top choice. She is waiting for one more school but so far she is deciding between Hartt and CCM, leaning towards Hartt
She will release MMC, Emerson, Oklahoma and a Few others this weekend.
We are all almost there!!
Best of luck!! It is a stressful road! But weâre getting to the end.
Congratulations!
Yes so exciting. What wonderful options!
If I havenât heard anything from Syracuse yet, should I just give up on hopes?
My son didnât get into BU either. This one stung but still very excited about his options and upcoming visits. Still waiting for 2 more too.
Good luck to him!
It is a very tough process for these kids, but hopefully they will all end up where it is best for them.
I think they release over a series of weeks. This was week 2. I am not sure that you should give up.
So excited for her! Both are great schools, Best of luck mama and D!
Any feedback on BFA Acting at Webster or Shenandoah?
I am sorry about BU. Where is he waiting to hear from?
Thanks! He is accepted to Elon, Emerson, Fordham, UConn and Syracuse (something to love about all of them! waiting on NYU (long shot!) and he still hasnât heard from penn state.
He has terrific options. Many of these schools are considered long-shots for BFA Acting. Congratulations! We are waiting on CalArts- I canât believe it is not out yet!
NYU shouldnt be a long shot at all. My son had very similar acceptances and was accepted into NYU. They have a very large first year class and take many kids.
what about the academic requirements for nyu?
That is obviously an issue. From what I remember the Drama department has less stringent requirements for academics than other parts of Tisch but it is still more than most other BFA programs.
My son is waitlisted for the FTVC Pace program. He really wants that one or NYU. Hoping beyond hope that he gets off the waitlist.
Any suggestions to aid in getting from waitlist to accepted?
Keep in regular communication. Make sure they know they are your top pick. The department heads all say they would rather hear from you âtoo muchâ than to hear nothing. Thatâs about all you can do is let them know you want it.
Awesome! I was planning on calling on Monday. Thank you for your reply!
