To put a copy of my UCLA acceptance into a folder and mail it to them, would they get a laugh?

I think they would laugh…it would be funny though if they approve your “appeal.”

they could care less. . .

Ucla> usc

who the hell knows about usc outside the u.s.?

^ tool

USC > fUCLA

dont think those jokes of USC being a University of Second Choice or UCLA and USC admits having a USC acceptance in common are relevant anymore.

Its way harder to get into USC as a transfer than it is UCLA.

DavidAdkins is right, it’s actually the University of Spoiled Children

^ tool

i hate having to repeat myself.

yep, if not having to cram myself into an over-crowded lecture hall at an under-budgeted institution is called being spoiled, then call me spoiled. I call it rational, but to each his own. :)

LOL. Great breakdown.

For people outside of California:

UCLA = Some state school
USC = Football, girls

That’s pretty much all there is to it.

no actually al6200…

outside cali:
ucla one of the best schools in the nation
usc great film and business school. all my east coast pals know how strong their business program is.

To El Taco Grande:

Ucla> usc

who the hell knows about usc outside the u.s.?

-I’m sure that is very important. Because I’m sure when you go to India and apply for a job, it will be very helpful to your application. Don’t forget you can also brag to your friends in Yugoslavia about going to UCLA.

Here’s my take: I want to live in Southern California not anywhere else in the world. SC, provides excellent networking in Southern California.

No. When I hear UCLA I don’t think “One of the best schools in the nation”. I think “some state school in California”. Most people know USC for its football team.

But then again, when I hear Berkeley I think “William Hung and Hippies”. So I’m probably not the best source on schools in California.

I can guarantee UCLA is ranked one of the best schools in the US and is known outside of of America.

that being said, USC and UCLA both have very strong, independent programs. if you want to major in business and you go to USC, people in the business field will find this very impressive.

however, if you major in architecture at UCLA, people in that field will find it impressive.

I think this is a dumb argument, haha. Both are excellent academic universities,

I personally feel USC has the 3rd best undergraduate Business program in California, next to Cal and Stanford. But there alumni network is huge, tight-knit, and strong. UCLA has one of the best Business Graduate programs. Both schools are equally well known, partly due to the success of their athletics. (The “Flutie-effect”)

^ Stanford doesnt have an undergraduate business program

when i think UCLA, i think best UC!
when i think USC, one of the best in the nation!

“I’m sure that is very important. Because I’m sure when you go to India and apply for a job, it will be very helpful to your application. Don’t forget you can also brag to your friends in Yugoslavia about going to UCLA.”

It’s actually “former Yugoslavia.” I know a lot of people from former Yugoslavia (Croatia, Kosovo, Serbia) who attend(ed) USC.

UCLA undergrad is a joke!
