<p>No. If you are unable to interview with a local alumni your app won't be penalized. It can only help, but not hurt it.</p>
<p>I e-mailed someone from the university, and she told me they don't give everyone an interview and that it was not detrimental if you didn't have one.</p>
<p>i go to a prep school that sends a sizeable number to yale, and we dont even (according to the letter i got when my app was complete) have an asc rep, so...</p>
