Hey g man, I just got accepted ED from Toronto.

About being Canadian, make sure to push the awards that you received, because they are really into that down there. I found that I had much fewer awards and accolades than my American friends, because I think Canada generally doesn't have as many oppurtunities (You may have noticed that nearly every American has "national merit semifinalist" as an EC. I haven't seen many oppurtunities like that in Canada.)

Your marks and SAT scores were pretty similar to mine (The 87% in Grade 11 is a tiny bit iffy), but don't be afraid to sent in supplementary letters explaining certain things about your transcript. For example, Americans take geometry in Grade 9, while Geo. and Discrete is a notoriously difficult course in Canada, and you got 94%, which is awesome.

Your application seems pretty strong to me...If you're SAT scores turn out well then I'd say you have a great shot.

One last thing, about your other ECs (debate, robotics...), make sure that any title or position is known. Even junior director of blah blah blah sounds better than just plain "member".

Good luck and e-mail me if you have any questions...

Well, we have our midterms in January, and I think I can get the following courses to jump:
French to 90
Geo and Discrete to 100 (our school makes the tests really hard >100 is possible)
Calculus to 98
English to 80+
Bio to 93 or so

Physics will continue to slump because we have this teacher from India with impossible tests. (5 pages in 35 min periods O_O) So our class average is 65 or something.

Chaz, where do you go to HS?
I go to Vincent Massey, um... it's pretty well known and the environment around here really drives up ppl's motivation to get those math marks. :D I bombed this one test for Geo so my mark went down, or else it would've been 100...

CHAT.....I think I know someone at your school....don't want to release names though.........do you know a Noah G?

Unfortunately no

bump, bump....

i think your chances are pretty good personally. btw, what does "bump" mean?i've been seeing it a lot lately.

people use bump if they want to bring attention to their topic by putting it back at the top of the list of topics in a forum
