yes..i have a feeling we all like cornell alot

bump..........

damn, canadas grading system is really different, you guys must have a tougher curriculum to have 80 as honor roll

Not really. When a teacher gives you an A, you get a 87 entered into the computer. A- is 80, A+ is 95. Getting some A- means we're screwed.
Provincial Standard is B, so if we meet all requirements of the assignment, we get B or 75. The only exception here is for tests, where direct percentage is entered.

Our math tests are really long, like 5 pages to 10 pages for a 35 min period, so sometimes we can get a good curve, and if we're good enough, we can get above perfect. So math marks are easier to get.

bump........

bump bump bump

You are fine dude. Hopefully you applied to the engineering college. You did very well on AMC and decent on AIME. College of Engineering would love to see those numbers and ECs

do you think this year's AIME and AMC score (and possibly USAMO qualification) would get in on time? I'm aiming for 138 and 11 this year. :D

If you get an USAMO qualification, then you are pretty much set. MIT will probably take you without looking at your other grades. Regradless to what you get this year, I think you are in a really good shape.

bump........

no ap? no way

Our school doesn't offer AP, but our enriched courses are harder than AP.

did u get your SAT scores back yet? Cause that'll kinda help us out.

Dec 19th, counting down already... haha I'm predicting:
780 to 800 for M
650 - 700 for CR
680 - 730 for W

G!
lol this is Bob . . . if you remember me

good luck to you too man

Bob from Gr 9??? Yup I remember you!!! GL wherever you go man!

hey im a new CCer...what does "bump" mean? sorry to post this in your thread g-man...im applying to cornell regular and you are a much higher ranked applicant than i am, i think you have an AWESOME shot if those SAT's turn out how u expect.

B - Bring
U - Up
M - My
P - Post

Oh btw, another piece of info, my school alone has 6 people applying to Cornell. I know of another 2 at a school nearby. Does Cornell have a quota for Canadians, or they look at each application independently.
