Current NYU Sophomore. Ask me any questions you feel here or you can private message me. Don't be scared to ask anything-- ask away!

What do you think about Explorations? It is worth it? Are there lots of people in it that you feel left about when you are not part of it? I am personally not so interested, but my parents are making big deals about it. I really want to live in U-Hall and the only program that I seem to like is World Religions. What should I do?

Is it worth taking out 25k in loans per year for Stern Scholars?

What have you heard about Water Street, Lafayette, CLiff Street and 26th Street Dorms,

I was notified that housing application was due June 1st. But, I found another thing called "residential education" which was due May 20th. Do you know what this exactly is? Do you think I should take it?

Thank you.

I think Exploations is great if you're interested in teh subject matter. I also think it' is great because you kind of cheat the housing process and you can chose any dorm you want based on it's specific explorations program. Also I don't think that you have to participate in every activity if you're not super interested in your floor's explorations theme. I have heard many stories of explorations floors only doing stuff the first weeek and that was it.

Yes it is worth taking out any loans for Stern. It will def be worth it in the end.

I have heard Water Street is beautiful yet kind of far away. I have heard Lafayette is both ****ty and really nice and social. Many of the frat houses are placed Lafeyette. And sorry I don't know anything about the other two. But these are all upperclassmen dorms, I figured that you were a freshman.

wwkkim- your best bet is to call NYU housing.
