Cornell consists of 7 undergrad and I think 5 grad colleges. Undergrad are ILR, CAS, CALS, Hotel, Hum Ec, AAP, and Engineering. Graduate includes schools such as the law school, business school, vet school, ect...

They are all one great part of Cornell!

for orientation... do parents stay for two days?
they need to reserve a hotel?

its up to the parents/students
and obvi if they are going to.. theres only like 3500 other students+parents coming up that week.

There's no timeline for how long parents stay. You should make a reservation ASAP, though, if you know how long your parents are staying, since there are more Cornell freshman parents than hotel rooms in Ithaca.

edit- CMB...?! check your facebook.

ya ur usually supposed to book rooms wayyyy in advance because ithaca is so small compared to the number of people at Cornell. I was booked for graduation a while ago and I haven't even had a day at Cornell yet lol (thats my mom).

should we buy a dorm fridge and bring it to cornell or wait until we get there? are the dorm fridges overpriced in ithaca?

Sillyrabbit, I actually looked into that a while back… I think you can order a fridge at Sears and pick it up once you get there! we decided that’s the most convenient way. there is also Target, they should have some too! I guess depending on where you’re coming from, it might be a good idea to either buy one there or make an order and just pick it up once you arrive!
