<p>I know schools always ask for core subjects, but how "core" should the subject be. I'm already getting a recommendation from my AP English teacher and I wanted to get one from a math/science teacher. I don't want to go to my AP Physics or AP Calc teacher, I plan on asking my accounting teacher.</p>
<p>Everyone asks they're Calc/Hard Science teachers for recommendations. Plus, I plan on going into economics and finance so accounting would seem more useful for me. And I've had my accounting teacher for Principles and Intermediate Accounting. I'm applying to more selective schools so would I be looked down upon for not going to one of the four core subject teachers?</p>
<p>And if it is a problem, should I get another recommendation just in case? I also wanted to get a recommendation from my AP Gov. Or does that seem like overkill getting three recommendations?</p>
