Assesment Test Scores

I did not print out my test scores from the assesments tests for chem and math, does anyone know where I can go and print them, I already logged off UF's site. Thanks so much.

<a href="http://www.isis.ufl.edu%5B/url%5D">www.isis.ufl.edu</a></p>

click on test scores, located on your right

You don't need to print it out if you want, your adviser will have it on file.

you won't be able to see the scores until 9 AM the day after taking the tests

I know a lot of the IB/AP exam scores won't be in until July, so keep in mind that your schedules may change accordingly.

I printed mine out, but I lost them...don't worry about it though, it didn't say to print them out, and they're bound to be on record.

how is the placement test for chemistry?

If i got a 3 in AP Chem I don't need to take the placement test right?

I was wondering the same thing. If you took the AP test and pssed do you need to take the placement test?

Yeah, do we have to? I took the Calculus one because I didn't know, then I read I didn't have to if I got a 3,4,or 5 on Calculus BC, so I wasted my time on that one. I think it's the same for AP Chem, but let's make sure.

If you pass your AP exams and meet the required score for placements (I believe for some courses, you have to have a 4), no, you do not have to take the readiness tests. However, if you have an early preview and your AP scores aren't in yet, you might want to go ahead and take them so that your adviser knows your component and will let you register for the courses you want. They don't take a long time to complete, it won't kill you. :)

This site says that they will accept AP grades "already on file" in place of placement tests
<a href="http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/catalog/policies/advisingplacement.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/catalog/policies/advisingplacement.html</a></p>

" Alternative Placement Scores: Students with any of the alternative placement scores listed below already on file at UF* are advised to complete the Calculus Readiness Assessment to check that they are prepared for UF’s MAC 2233 or MAC 2311, but they are not required to achieve the minimum score(s) stated above. However, these students should try their best on the assessment since, even for students with one of these alternative scores, a low CRA score could predict potential trouble in calculus. Alternative placement scores are

* a score of 3, 4 or 5 on the AP Calculus AB or BC exam, or
* a score 6 or 7 on the IB Math Methods exam (However, a student placing into MAC 2311 by this criterion may need to review trigonometry heavily in order to succeed in MAC 2311.), or
* a score of 4, 5, 6 or 7 on the IB Higher-Level Mathematics exam.

Already on file at UF refers to scores that have already been entered into UF's electronic student-records system and can therefore be detected by the automated prerequisite-checker. In general, this happens within a few days of UF's receipt of an official transcript of a student's test score(s). There is one and only one exception to the “already on file at UF” rule: At Preview, if a student has in hand an official transcript of test scores, a Preview adviser may use these scores to place the student into a calculus class. Please note that this exception will be made only during Preview and only at the Preview location, never at the mathematics department."

Yeah, you don't have to take them if you already have calc and chem on file, but like someone said, they're really quick and easy, I would just do them to prevent any possible problems at preview.
